What is the Camino Pursuit?

The Camino Pursuit is a bikepacking event that combines the rich historical and cultural attraction of the trail, and riding through the most scenic landscapes around it.

Most of the itinerary follows the original and most popular French Way. You’ll ride from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France all the way to Santiago in the Galicia region of Spain.

You’ll go through all the pilgrimage highlights and can visit churches along the way if you wish.

The optional loops will also have you discover beautiful Pyrenees mountains. The impressive rock formations of the Bardenas Reales desert. You’ll ride on famous Vuelta a España roads in the Spanish region of Cantabria with iconic mountain passes such as Puerto de Pajares (1379m), and Puerto de Somiedo (1486m).

It’s mostly on roads, although there are optional sections of good gravel roads through the Bardenas Reales desert. The Pyrenees also includes a steep dirt trail that you can avoid with a detour through superb mountain roads.
